Exhibitor Manager DOCS & HELP

Search & Quick Filters in the Plan

The magnifier at the top right of the hall plan opens a search field for exhibitors with up to nine quick filters below it. Visitors find a booth, the nearest restroom or the way to the stage without opening the directory.

The open search: the search field at the top, the quick filters below.

Switching it on

Under Settings → Functions & Defaults, card “Hall Plan Search & Quick Filters”:

SettingEffect
Exhibitor Search on MapShows the magnifier on all hall plans. Off by default. On the full-screen map the search is always on.
One switch per quick filterShows or hides the button. All nine are on by default.
Assigned Exhibitors (Types & Categories)Per quick filter: types, categories or custom keywords whose exhibitors the filter also shows – e.g. the type “Food & Drink” for “Food & Drinks”.

Override it per hall plan in the shortcode: [event_hall_plan parent_id="500" search="true"] switches the search on, search="false" off. quick_filters="wc,food,first-aid" shows only those filters, quick_filters="none" none, quick_filters="all" all nine.

The filters recognise the symbols in the plan – automatically for plans from the hall plan designer, in your own SVG files via the attribute data-eem-icon, e.g. data-eem-icon="wc". A filter shows the count at the top and, where there are several kinds, sub-filters such as “Gastronomy / Food” or “Drinking water”.

What visitors see

  • Search: results with logo, booth number, type and location. A click switches to the plan that contains the booth, highlights it and opens the info sheet.
  • Quick filters: the matches are highlighted in the plan and listed. Whatever the filter doesn’t find on the current floor appears under “Available on other floors:” with the count per floor – a click switches there.
Which plan opens?

A search result switches to the plan that matches the exhibitor’s locations most precisely: a room of that plan (e.g. “Conference Room C1”) beats the plan’s name, the name beats the building. If the exhibitor has hall and room, the floor with the room opens; on a tie, an interior plan wins over the campus site plan.
