Hall plan and exhibitor list also exist as full-screen pages of their own – without the theme, ideal for QR codes, info kiosks and phones. On smartphones and tablets they can show a bottom navigation bar like an app.
The addresses
| Address | Page |
|---|---|
/?eem_map | Hall plan of the current event, with search |
/?eem_list | Exhibitor list of the current event |
&eem_app=1 | App mode on all devices, regardless of the setting; the buttons of the bar keep it. &eem_app=0 forces the classic view. |
&eem_embed=1 | Without header and navigation bar – for embedding in an iframe |
/?eem_info | Custom info page (also /?eem_info=123) |
The shortcode generator (type “Link to the full-screen page”) builds these addresses including a QR code. The QR codes of location points also open the full-screen map by default.
Settings → Full-screen & App
| Section | Settings |
|---|---|
| Full-screen mode | Display on smartphones and tablets: Classic (buttons in the header) or app mode (navigation bar at the bottom). Computers always show the classic view. Link program and exhibitors and Speakers button – see below. |
| Header | Logo / image (without an image the site logo or site icon), “The logo links to the home page of the website”, text in the header (empty: name of the event) |
| Colors | Header background, navigation bar background (default: like the header), icons and buttons (default: the plugin’s primary colour). On a dark background the text turns white automatically. |
| Navigation labels | Program, Speakers, Map, Exhibitors – left empty, the default text in the site language is used |
| Additional button | Leads to a website or to a custom info page in the app, optionally as the start page – see below. In app mode an item in the bar, otherwise in the header. |
Live ticker in the navigation
If the calendar is running too, the navigation shows a button to the live ticker. The “Live-Ticker button” switch hides it, and you change its label in the navigation labels.
Additional button and custom start page
The additional button leads to your website or opens a custom info page right in the app: for directions, Wi-Fi, cloakroom or a welcome.
- 1Turn the button on
Tick the box in the “Additional button” section and enter a text. The icon is optional: the name of a Dashicons class such as
dashicons-infoor an icon from your theme. - 2Choose the type
“Link to external website” with the full address or “Custom info page in full-screen app”.
- 3Write the content
Text, headings, links and images in the editor. For the display you choose between “Box / Frame” and “Clean (borderless)”.
- 4Use as start page
Tick “Use this info page as start page / landing page of the full-screen app”. Guests land on the info page first, and it takes first place in the bar. This does not apply when embedded in an iframe: visitors still see the hall plan there.
- 5Legal links
Privacy Policy, Legal Notice and Contact appear unobtrusively below the info page content and open in a new tab. Contact also accepts an e-mail address. Empty fields hide their link.
The info page is available at /?eem_info, for a specific event with its ID: /?eem_info=123.
With a few files, the full-screen pages can go on the home screen like an app: Set up as a PWA.
Together with the calendar
If Convention Schedule & Program Planner is active, the settings apply to the full-screen pages of both plugins: saving copies them to the calendar and vice versa. With “Switch between program, hall plan and exhibitor list in full-screen mode”, the buttons or the bar lead back and forth between program, speakers, map and exhibitors. The speakers button only appears if speakers are assigned to the program items.
If you embed the full-screen pages in an app with its own bottom bar, append &eem_app=0 – the page then stays classic and there is no second bar.
